VRNs (Oct14, 2012) - The World - We all know the Vietnamese communist government is one of the most serious human rights violators in the world. If elected into the UN Human Rights Council, it would take advantage of its membership to defend and cover up its human rights abuses, to deceive public opinions, and to continue harassing, and oppressing Vietnamese people.
Your signature is very important to promote freedom and democracy for Vietnam.
I just signed the following petition addressed to: UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and World Leaders.
We all know the Vietnamese communist government (Vcg) is one of the most serious human rights violators in the world. It strips basic freedoms from the people including freedom of religion; it
conducts cruel persecutions, illegal arrests and arbitrary detentions of its citizens. International human rights bodies such as Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch have frequently condemned for its human rights abuses.
The Vcg is in full effort campaigning to join the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) for the 2013-2016 term. If elected, the Vcg will take advantage of its membership to defend and cover up its human rights violations, to deceive public opinion, to continue harassing dissidents, dominating and oppressing the people of Vietnam. The Vcg does not deserve and should not be elected as a member of the UN Human Rights Council.
Please see website: http://www.vietnamhumanrights.net/IndexE.html
I strongly request you with all authority and influence to stop the Vietnamese communist government from joining the UN Human Rights Council, also to put pressure on the Vietnamese government to change like Burma (Myanmar), to respect human rights and to release all political prisoners without conditions.
